Sandtex
Italiana, a company that produces paints, varnishes and preparatory
and finishing materials for the building trades, was born in Trieste
in 1962 as a result of a collaborative agreement that was drawn
up with the Portland Company in London. A technical and colors
laboratory was created at their Trieste headquarters that would
be capable of supplying any color whatsoever as a sample. Clients
and designers can find help there of various types, which take
the form of numerous services, one of which is rendered by the
company when it puts its highly qualified skilled workers at the
disposal of its client. The most recent to be introduced is "Pianocolore"
(color plan). The customer can give the Sandtex laboratory a photograph
or drawing of the facade or curtain wall of the building he's
interested in, accompanied by his preferences or landscaping encumbrances,
if any, and obtain an image that simulates the final chromatic
result with an optimal level of definition (along with detailed
specifications as to the products to be used). The illustration
shown here affords an example of how the service is applied (Edilcasacolor,
Acireale, Catania).
