Introduction:
The following specifications regard the application of
thermal insulating panels. Wherever possible, insulating panels
should be installed on the exterior walls of the building in order
to reduce thermal loss through pillar, beams, floors, etc. The
choice of type and thickness of the panels depends on the specific
application, in order to achieve the desired "R" value.
Therefore, type and characteristics of the thermal insulating
panels must be clearly stated each time in the specifications.
We recommend the use of fire retardant panels with shaped edges
for easy joints. Should the panels be installed inside the building,
do not limit the installation to the external walls, but also
insulate side walls and ceiling in order to avoid condensation
in the corners and on the ceiling. A plastic type finish coating
should always be used instead of a rigid (mineral) type. Use white
or pastel colors to finish the panels mounted on the exterior
walls to reduce possible damage from thermal expansion |
