Preparation
Remove any loose or dusty old paint from the plaster surfaces,
as well as enamels or glossy finishes, in order to work on a porous
and absorbing surface. Glue the panels to the surface using a
mix of RIALTO RASAL, a product based on thermoplastic copolymer
resins, sand, alcali-resistant fibers, and Portland Cement, composed
as follows: 2 parts of RIALTO RASAL, 1 part of Portland Cement
and water as needed. Average covering capacity for RIALTO RASAL:
2,5 kg/m². Fix the panels with 5 plastic anchor wedges for
each panel. Reinforce corners with plastic or aluminum trims.
Level the surface using a mix of RIALTO MATONAL, an adhesive reinforced
with alcali-resistant fibers, composed as follows: 2 parts of
RIALTO MATONAL, 3 parts of Portland Cement, 4 parts of sand and
water as needed (parts in volume). Reinforce the joints with a
15 cm wide alcali-resistant fiberglass RIALTO FIBRATEX. Average
covering for RIALTO MATONAL: 1 l/m². Allow the surface to
dry completely before applying the finishing product.
Finishing
On a dry substrate, using a stainless steel trowel, apply one
coat of RIALTO DURALBO, a protective and decorative coating with
fine scored effect, based on selected inert minerals (silica,
marble and quartz), a thermoplastic copolymer binder and UV ray-resistant
pigments. Finish off using a plastic trowel. Surface adherence
not lower than 6 kgf/cm². Water vapor permeability: >23
g/m² - 24 hours (ASTM E96 Regulations).
Average covering capacity: 1.7 kg/m².
