Preparation
Degrease the new exterior sheet zinc surface using common degreasers
or nitro-thinner. In case of old and rusty exterior sheet zinc
surface, remove the rust and apply RIALTO UNIVERSAL, a highly
adhesive anti-rust primer, (use the undiluted product if applied
by brush or roller or dilute to 15-20% with nitro-thinner if applied
by spray-gun). Allow the substrate to dry completely before applying
the finishing product. Average covering capacity: 1 l/10 m²
for brush or roller applications and 1 l/7 m² for spray-gun
applications.
Finishing
Allow 24 hours before applying two coats of undiluted RIALTO FINISH,
a protective and water-repellent coating with smooth, mat and
suede-like decorative effect, based on inert minerals, such as
mica and quartz, a thermoplastic terpolymer binder, a fungicide-bactericide
agent and UV-ray resistant pigments. Adhesion power not lower
than 8 kgf/cm². Use a brush or a roller, or a spray-gun on
vertical surfaces and/or inclined surfaces without backwater.
