Preparation
Strip any oxidized iron rods appearing on the surface of the reinforced
concrete until all rust has been removed. Use a sander to remove
the rust and apply immediately on the iron rods RIALTO UNIVERSAL,
an anti-rust protective product. Average covering capacity: 100
ml/m². Replace the iron rods whose section has been reduced
by more than 30% and weld new ones. Patch with the cement-based
mortar RIALTO WALLCEM, mixed with 10% of RIALTO MATONAL (max thickness:
0.5 cm). RIALTO WALLCEM average covering capacity: 1.2 kg/m²
per 1-mm thickness. Allow the surface to dry completely before
proceeding. Apply a coat of RIALTO DOMOSIL, in the same color
as the finishing product. Dilute RIALTO DOMOSIL to 30% with water
and apply using a brush, roller or spray. Average covering capacity
on fine plaster: 1 l / 10 m².
Finishing
Apply one single coat of RIALTO DURALBO SILOSSANICO, a plaster
coating with weather-resistant shade, mainly composed of a modified
siloxane resin and selected marble and silica grit, using a stainless
steel spatula. Surface adherence: > 6 kgf/cm². Water vapor
permeability: 180 g/m² - 24 hours (ASTM E96 regulations),
µ=100, Sd=0.12 m.
Average covering capacity: 1.7 kg/m².
