Preparation
Strip any oxidized iron rods appearing on the surface of the reinforced
concrete until all rust has been removed. Use a sander to remove
the rust and apply immediately on the iron rods RIALTO UNIVERSAL,
an anti-rust protective product. Average covering capacity: 100
ml/m². Replace the iron rods whose section has been reduced
by more than 30% and weld new ones. Patch with the cement-based
mortar RIALTO WALLCEM, mixed with 10% of RIALTO MATONAL (max thickness:
0.5 cm). RIALTO WALLCEM average covering capacity: 1.2 kg/m²
per 1-mm thickness. Allow the surface to dry completely before
proceeding. Apply a coat of RIALTO DOMOSIL, in the same color
as the finishing product. Dilute RIALTO DOMOSIL to 30% with water
and apply using a brush, roller or spray. Average covering capacity
on fine plaster: 1 l / 10 m².
Finishing
On a dry substrate, apply one coat of RIALTO CARSO SILOSSANICO,
a protective and decorative plain-color coating with finely gritted
rustic effect, based on inert minerals (silica, marble and quartz)
and mainly composed of a modified siloxane resin and UV ray-resistant
pigments, using a stainless steel trowel and FINISH off using
a plastic trowel. Surface adherence not lower than 10 kgf/cm².
Water vapor permeability: >220 g/m² - 24 hours (ASTM E96
Regulations), µ = 80, Sd = 0.1 m.
Average covering capacity: 2 kg/m² for type "1"
and 3.3 kg/m² for type "2".
