Preparation
Strip any oxidized iron rods appearing on the surface of the reinforced
concrete until all rust has been removed. Use a sander to remove
the rust and apply immediately on the iron rods RIALTO UNIVERSAL,
an anti-rust protective product. Average covering capacity: 100
ml/m². Replace the iron rods whose section has been reduced
by more than 30% and weld new ones. Patch with the cement-based
mortar RIALTO WALLCEM, mixed with 10% of RIALTO MATONAL (max thickness:
0.5 cm). RIALTO WALLCEM average covering capacity: 1.2 kg/m²
per 1mm thickness. Allow the surface to dry completely before
proceeding. Apply one coat of the absorption-regulating, water-repellent,
anti-saline efflorescence, single-can RIALTO ISOCAL primer, based
on oligomeric organosiloxane in aliphatic solvents; average covering
capacity: 0,3 l/m².
Finishing
AApply using a brush two coats of RIALTO DOMOSIL, a breathable
water-repellent and permanent-action fungicide and bactericide
agent, based on siloxane and UV ray-resistant pigments (DIN 53122,
230 g/m² - 24 hours, µ=410, Sd=0.09 m). The first coat
should be diluted to 35% with water and the second to 25%. Allow
at least 12 hours before applying the second coat.
