Preparation
Strip any oxidized iron rods appearing on the surface of the reinforced
concrete until all rust has been removed. Use a sander to remove
the rust and apply immediately on the iron rods RIALTO UNIVERSAL,
an anti-rust protective product. Average covering capacity: 100
ml/m². Replace the iron rods whose section has been reduced
by more than 30% and weld new ones. Patch with the cement-based
mortar RIALTO WALLCEM, mixed with 10% of RIALTO MATONAL (max thickness:
0.5 cm). RIALTO WALLCEM average covering capacity: 1.2 kg/m²
per 1mm thickness. Allow the surface to dry completely before
proceeding. On friable and dusty surfaces, apply a coat of RIALTO
STABILIZER, a hardening and insulating primer based on acrylic
and petrol resins in a solvent. Average covering capacity: 160
ml/m². When the surface is completely dry, apply a coat diluted
to 25% with water of RIALTO FINISH, in the same color as the finishing
product.
Average covering capacity: 100 cl/m².
Finishing
Apply using a roller or a spray-gun one coat of RIALTO UNION,
a broad-spectrum permanent-action sanitizing product for exteriors
with smooth and satin effect. It is a water and terpolymer-based
acrylic paint and a broad-spectrum permanent-action fungicide
and bactericide agent, composed of UV ray-resistant pigments and
selected siliceous minerals, with excellent hiding power. Water
vapor permeability DIN 53122 Regulations: 47 g/m² - 24 hours,
µ=2227, Sd=0.49 m.
Average covering capacity on fine plaster: 150 ml/m². The
first coat should be diluted to 20% with water and the second
to 10%.
