Sandtex Italiana was originally established in 1963 when Portland Cement of London and a family of entrepreneurs from Trieste, the Stock Family, reached a joint-venture agreement.

Precise investment choices, the research and development of materials and new technologies, the special attention to innovation and the respect for tradition helped build the solid reputation of Sandtex, its products and its employees.

Nevertheless, the organization has conserved its human touch for standards and quality, always caring for the customers' needs and for the efficiency of its services.
 

Sandtex decorative products are distributed world-wide under the "rialto" trademark. Thanks to their high quality and the unmistakable "Made in Italy" style, the rialto line has been successful in many different markets, such as Japan, the Middle East, the United States, and Eastern and Western Europe.
 

HARPO is particularly sensitive to environmental concerns, and avoids the use of toxic or polluting substances in all phases of product development and production. The ecological safety of our products is especially important in meeting the strict environmental standards of countries around the world.
 

In 1986, the company built a new plant in the industrial area of Trieste, where our technical and color laboratories are also located. Our dedicated team of technicians and designers welcome suggestions and challenging requests from both customers and work-groups.

In 1999, following a reorganization, the various business activities and divisions merged into a new style named HARPO Spa, which is now completely owned by the Stock family.
